Get It Out is an organisation committed to providing support for men struggling with anxiety and depression.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged between 20 and 49 years and the dated idea that “real men don’t talk about their feelings” is one of the reasons that this statistic is not going down.

This makes the thought that you will be judged for feeling down far too real for some men however we believe that is far from the truth.

Having Anxiety or Depression is not a sign of weakness, it doesn’t make you any less of a man and you shouldn’t keep quiet about it. Trust us when we say you’re not alone in this.

Here at Get It Out we believe that support comes in all shapes and sizes however the one thing that runs the same throughout is talking. Getting your feelings out to a trusted friend or peer has proven to improve your state of mind.

We aim to provide regular events and workshops to provide creative support to encourage you to talk. You never know, we might have been through the same stuff to!

Taking part in activities that you enjoy can be great for you mental health whether it’s running, playing music, cycling, gaming, gardening, building or sketching we want to help facilitate these things by providing support to set up groups in which you can take part in these activities but (in your own time) talk about how we feel.
